Nationwide call for prayer and fasting for Iran

The unfortunate events that are happening in our country are causing us distress. The question is, what can we do in this critical situation?

Throughout history, many individuals have committed injustices and, for the sake of their power and desire for immortality, have violated the rights of the oppressed, shed their blood, and taken their lives.

During the reign of Ahasuerus (King Xerxes of Persia), Haman, who was the king's minister, due to his cruelty and desire for power, and because of his pride and arrogance, conspired and issued an order to destroy, kill, and destroy all the Jews, young and old, children and women, in one day, and to plunder their property.

When this news reached Queen Esther, she said to all the Jews, "Do not eat or drink anything for three days, nights, and I will fast with you in union with this decision, and after three days I will go in to the king (Xerxes).

Unity in fasting and prayer caused God to act when Esther went before the king, breaking the decree that was written to destroy the Jews and freeing and saving them. (To read about this event, refer to the book of Esther in the Bible).

Our Iran today is a picture of this story. Cruelty, callousness, corruption, etc. have reached a point where the answer to oppressed and freedom-loving compatriots has been bullets. Three days of prayer, fasting, and unity led Esther to stand before the king.

We, the children of God, have also decided, following His word, like Esther's decision, to go to the presence of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, in the Tabernacle of Meeting for 14 days starting on October 8th, to pray and intercede for Iran and the events that have occurred, and to prepare ourselves for October 22nd (coinciding with the 30th of Mehr).

Beginning October 8, believers in one country will lead a prayer meeting for 4 hours each day in the Tabernacle.
On Saturday, October 22nd (coinciding with October 30th), we will stand in fasting and prayer for 6 hours, united in the victory of light over darkness and the manifestation of the light of Christ.

2pm to 8pm European time
