The story of the ban on using non-Persian names in naming trade unions

According to a circular issued by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage to the Local Police, the use of non-Persian names for trade union units is “unimpeded” only in the same locality or province, and the chosen name must be in Persian. Yesterday, following the publication of statements by the head of Tehran’s Local Police by Mehr News Agency, regarding the ban on the use of non-Persian names for trade union units in the capital, Nader Moradi denied these statements.
According to the HRANA news agency, citing the Watchdog, the use of Turkish, Kurdish, Lori, Northern, etc. names for guild units is prohibited, and according to this directive, guilds must use local names only in the city and provinces associated with that name.
According to this report, yesterday, some news outlets published a report quoting Colonel Nader Moradi, head of Tehran's local police, stating that the Ministry of Religious Affairs is the authority for naming trade union units, and according to a circular issued by the ministry to the police, trade union units must choose a name that is Persian.
Hours after the news agencies published statements by the head of Tehran's local police that the use of non-Persian names for trade union units in the capital was prohibited, Nader Moradi denied these statements and claimed: His interview with the Mehr News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Propaganda Organization, was not true and he did not say that the use of names with Turkish dialects, such as Lori Gilaki, etc., is prohibited in Tehran.
The report states that the law prohibiting the use of non-Persian names for trade union units in the "Sardar" system is being implemented despite the denials provided by the law enforcement authorities. It states: "In Articles 5 and 6 of the Law on Naming Institutions, Institutions, Streets, etc., which is also available at the Majlis Research Center, it is emphasized that local names of other cities can be used for different regions, but in the center, only Persian names can be used."
This report, or reference to Article 6 of the “Law on the Prohibition of the Use of Foreign Names, Titles, and Terms,” states: “Individuals who, in addition to Persian, speak one of the special languages of religious minorities recognized in the Constitution or local and ethnic dialects prevalent in some regions of Iran, are permitted to use special names belonging to that language or dialect in naming services, products, and related institutions and places, by indicating their meaning and origin in those regions.”
