Deprivation of treatment for "Hamzeh Savari Lefteh" in Qezl-Hesar Prison, Karaj

"Hamzeh Savari Lefteh," a political prisoner imprisoned in Qezl-e-Hesar Prison in Karaj, is deprived of medical treatment.

Hamzeh Savari was arrested by security forces on September 1, 2005, when he was only 16 years old. He was sentenced to death by the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court on charges of “corruption on earth,” “war on terror,” and “acting against national security,” which was eventually reduced to life imprisonment.

He suffered from many medical problems throughout his sentence, but despite his poor physical condition, he has been denied proper medical attention and hospital treatment. Mr. Sawari was diagnosed with Baker's cyst about 5 years ago, and since then, due to the lack of proper medical attention, his cyst has grown and has also affected the tendon in his foot.

It should be noted that he had also been diagnosed with varicocele about 11 years ago, and two years later he was sent to a medical center and underwent surgery, but the disease has recurred, and his repeated requests for medical attention have been denied.

The prosecutor in Hamzeh Savari's case opposed sending this political prisoner to medical centers and hospitals outside the prison, and this issue has caused Mr. Savari to endure suffering and pain.

Now serving his 18th year in prison, Mr. Savari is in poor physical condition, but despite his poor condition, he continues to be denied proper medical attention.
