"Purity-like" former political secretary of Tehran University's Islamic Association arrested

"Motahreh Ghoney", the former political secretary of the Islamic Association of Tehran University, was arrested following his summons by the IRGC intelligence.

Motaharah Ghoney, a dentistry student and former political secretary of the Islamic Association of Students of Tehran University and Tehran Medical Sciences, was previously arrested by security forces in Tehran in connection with the nationwide protests of 1401.

He and his wife, Mehdi Hadizadeh, a student at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, were sentenced by the Central Committee of the Ministry of Health to a temporary ban from studying and to change their place of study to Ardabil University of Medical Sciences.

He was arrested by the IRGC's forces in Tehran on Wednesday, May 1, following a telephone summons from IRGC intelligence, after going to the prosecutor's office and then being transferred to Evin Prison.

So far, no information is available about the charges against him or the reason for his arrest.
