Narges Mansouri arrested

Narges Mansouri, a civil activist and one of the signatories of the statement calling for the leader's resignation, was arrested by security forces.
According to HRANA news agency, citing Irana, civil activist Narges Mansouri was arrested by security forces.
The Islamic Republic News Agency claimed in its report that he was arrested while leaving the border by land.
According to this report, Ms. Mansouri's prison sentence, which has not been executed since 2019, was about to be executed by a judicial officer.
Narges Mansouri, a civil activist and member of the workers' union of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, was one of the signatories of the statement of 14 female civil activists calling for the resignation of Ayatollah Khamenei. In November 2019, she was sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Afshari, on the charge of "gathering and colluding against national security" and one year in prison on the charge of "propaganda against the system."
Narges Mansouri was arrested by security forces on August 11, 2019, while returning from her work. After being interrogated for 20 days in a solitary cell in the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center, known as Ward 2A of Evin Prison, she was transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin and finally to Evin Prison. She was released on November 12, 2019 after posting a bail of 500 million Tomans.
