Leaders of religious and sectarian minorities in Tehran held a press conference with the aim of supporting the Islamic Republic and condemning Israel.
According to published reports, religious and sectarian minority leaders held a meeting on Monday, June 16, at the Zoroastrian Fire Temple building, with the aim of condemning Israel's attacks on Iran and expressing solidarity with the Islamic Republic.
"Arakel Kadehkian," the representative of Archbishop Sibouh Sarkissian, Caliph of the Armenians of Tehran, while referring to the efforts of some media outlets to spread false information about the Armenians of Iran, said: "Today, we have gathered here to declare our firm support for the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to condemn the aggressions of the Zionist regime against our homeland. Iran is not only our homeland for us, but it is also a sacred and dear land, and whenever Iran suffers, we also suffer."
According to Arakel, Iran can overcome these crises and emerge victorious. He added: "We firmly condemn the attacks of the Zionist regime and raise our prayers to God for the protection of Iran and its leadership."
"Charlie Ashnavieh," the Assyrian representative in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, was also present at the meeting. In his speech at the meeting, he said: "The Islamic Republic's response will certainly be swift and logical, and you should know that the Islamic Republic's response to the usurper regime's attacks is legitimate defense and in accordance with international regulations. The Iranian nation must help end the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights with trust and empathy, and in accordance with Khamenei's leadership."
"Ninoy Moghaddasnia," the head of the Assyrian Evangelical Church in Tehran, also pointed out that churches in Tehran, Urmia, and other cities have held prayer services, condemned Israel's attacks on Iran, and said: "The Bible commands us to always pray for the authorities and rulers of our country. We always believe that our beloved country will be victorious."
Michel Aghamalian, the religious leader of the Armenian Evangelical Church and Society, also condemned Israel's attacks on Iran, adding: "We will not tolerate the aggression against our homeland, a homeland whose every inch is an epic and a myth." He also prayed for the repose of the souls of the martyrs and for Iran's victory, saying: "If there is no Iran, my body will not be destroyed."
