Trump and Levin warn about the nature of the Iranian regime and the need for immediate change

Donald Trump and Mark Levin have warned about the nature of the Iranian regime and the need for immediate change, stating that agreements cannot reform the regime.
US President Donald Trump retweeted a video of conservative American analyst Mark Levin's remarks, in which Levin bluntly warns that even the best agreements cannot reform the Iranian regime and that it must change.
In this video, which Trump posted on his official Twitter account, Levin asks about the Islamic Republic's agreement on his show "Life, Liberty, and Levin," "Even if the best deal in history is reached, what guarantee is there that the Islamic Republic will adhere to it?"
"Suppose Iran were to abandon its entire nuclear program, abandon its ballistic missiles, renounce terrorism, and reject its Islamist ideology, why would it sign such an agreement?" Levin said sarcastically.
He added: "The main issue is the regime itself, not the negotiating framework or the terms of the agreement. The Leader of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian government have repeatedly announced what their goal is and they consider this goal to be a divine mission."
Referring to the experience of the JCPOA and the US withdrawal from it in 2018, Levin said: “The Islamic Republic then gradually reduced its commitments and increased its uranium enrichment level to 60 percent, a figure well above the 3.67 percent limit set in the nuclear deal.” He warned that even if the Iranian regime temporarily backs down, it may continue on the path of developing its nuclear program in the long term, because they are looking at the long game.
Levin also referred to domestic repression, saying, "The Islamic Republic has repressed and killed thousands of its own people in recent years. If they do this to their own people, why do we think they will abide by an international agreement?"
He emphasized that the solution is not simply negotiation, and that the West must understand the nature of the Iranian regime and that this issue should not be left to future generations; in his belief, the Islamic Republic must be destroyed.
Given recent developments in Iran, including widespread protests and violent repression of protesters, Levin's analysis and its reposting by Donald Trump could indicate increased political and diplomatic pressure on the Islamic Republic. International media have also pointed out that the Iranian regime has always been known for its distrust and violation of international obligations, and its history of developing a nuclear program under sanctions and military threats has reduced global trust.
Analysts say the main message from Levin and Trump is clear: Even the best agreements are unable to change the fundamental and strategic nature of the Iranian regime, and therefore the real solution involves changing the power structure in Tehran.
