Trump and Levin warn about the nature of Iran’s regime and the necessity of immediate change

Donald Trump and Mark Levin have warned about the nature of Iran’s regime and the necessity of immediate change, declaring that agreements cannot reform the regime.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, reshared a video of statements by Mark Levin, an American conservative analyst, in which Levin clearly warns that even the best agreements cannot reform Iran’s regime and that this regime must change.

In this video, which Trump posted on his official Truth Social account, Levin, in his program “Life, Liberty and Levin,” questions the Islamic Republic’s agreement: “Even if the best agreement in history is reached, what guarantee is there that the Islamic Republic will abide by it?”

Levin said sarcastically: “Suppose Iran sets aside its entire nuclear program, sets aside ballistic missiles, stops terrorism, and rejects its Islamist ideology; well, why would it sign such an agreement?”

He added: “The core issue is the regime itself, not the framework of negotiations or the terms of the agreement. The leader of the Islamic Republic and Iran’s authorities have repeatedly declared what their goal is, and they consider this goal a divine mission.”

Referring to the experience of the JCPOA and America’s withdrawal from it in 2018, Levin said: “The Islamic Republic subsequently and gradually reduced its commitments and raised uranium enrichment levels to 60 percent, a figure far higher than the 3.67 percent ceiling set in the nuclear agreement.” He warned that even if Iran’s regime temporarily retreats, it may in the long term continue its nuclear program development, as they are playing the long game.

Levin also referred to domestic repression and said: “The Islamic Republic has suppressed and killed thousands of its own people in recent years. If they treat their own people this way, why would we think they will abide by an international agreement?”

He emphasized that the solution is not merely negotiation and that the West must understand the nature of Iran’s regime and this issue should not be left to future generations; in his view, the Islamic Republic must be eliminated.

Given recent developments in Iran, including widespread protests and violent suppression of demonstrators, Levin’s analysis and its resharing by Donald Trump could indicate an increase in political and diplomatic pressure on the Islamic Republic. International media have also noted that Iran’s regime has long been known for distrust and violation of international commitments, and its history of developing its nuclear program under sanctions and military threats has diminished global confidence.

Analysts say the main message from Levin and Trump is clear: even the best agreements are unable to change the fundamental and strategic nature of Iran’s regime, and therefore the real solution involves changing the power structure in Tehran.
