Mohammad Qobadloo and Mohammad Boroughni Face Execution

Following the execution of Seyedmohammad Hosseini and Mohammadmahdi Karami, the lives of Mohammad Qobadloo and Mohammad Boroughni are in danger of execution.

Early Monday morning, the 19th of Dey, large crowds of people gathered in front of Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj to show support for Mohammad Qobadloo and Mohammad Boroughni and to call for a halt to the execution of their sentences.

Mohammad Boroughni and Mohammad Qobadloo were transferred to solitary confinement yesterday, which is believed to indicate that their execution sentences will be carried out.

At today’s gathering, Mohammad Qobadloo’s mother was also present, and in a video released on social media, she emphasizes that her son is innocent and has been accused of killing someone who was killed elsewhere. She says: Mohammad Karampour was killed in another location and it is even written on the NAJA martyrs website. He was martyred in Robat Karim but it was included in my son’s case file so they could execute my son. The speaker at Martyr Karampour’s funeral announced that he was killed in a clash. They are committing injustice; my son is innocent.

These reports come at a time when a group of European Parliament members had taken political guardianship of Mohammad Qobadloo and Mohammad Boroughni and called for the annulment of their execution sentences.

The Islamic Republic government, disregarding the protests and political guarantees, has continued its crimes and executes more innocent individuals every day.

The people gathered in front of Rajai Shahr Prison protested the implementation of their sentences with the slogan “This is our final message, execute us and resurrection will come.”

The question remains: What will be the response of European Parliament members to these crimes? Will they take any action to overturn these sentences?
