Saravan Representative: The situation with water supply by tanker is also critical

The representative of Saravan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly called the "biggest problem" of this region "water shortage" and reported a water supply crisis, even with tankers, in various parts of the city.
Malek Fazeli said in an interview with the ILNA news agency that there has always been a "concern" about water shortages in this region, but "this year, when the rainfall was zero... it has become more acute and critical."
Referring to the fact that "most" of the wells in Saravan city have dried up, he announced that the region is facing a "water supply crisis," saying that the crisis is so severe that "even in some central neighborhoods of the city, we are facing a water shortage."
The Saravan representative criticized the lack of water tankers and said, "In this hot season of the year, we cannot leave people without water, so the number of water tankers should be increased."
Issa Kalantari, head of the Environmental Organization, said in late May of this year, referring to the expanding water resources crisis in Iran: "A water war has begun between the provinces," and this war "is spreading from province to province, from village to village."
Water shortages and water transfer projects in some provinces of Iran have repeatedly led to protests and subsequent clashes between people and the police in recent years.
