Iraqi Basij forces confiscate all Christian property

  • Nadam Kana, Secretary General of the Assyrian Democratic Movement in Iraq, said: Iraqi Basij militias, known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, are using force and weapons to confiscate the property and assets of Christians in Baghdad. Christian representatives in the Iraqi parliament said: Iraqi Basij forces affiliated with the Iranian regime are confiscating their property and assets.

The Assyrian representative added: "The militias are taking the property of Christians in the Karrada region."
"They occupied Mansoura and other wealthy areas in Baghdad and confiscated them by forging documents at the Real Estate Registry and by force of arms."
The Assyrian representative said: "Before raising this issue in parliament, he complained to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, but he has not received any results from his complaint."
Al-Arabiya reported this news and added: "The Iraqi Basij (Popular Mobilization Forces) are trained by the Quds Force, the overseas branch of the IRGC. These forces are commanded by Hadi al-Amiri. Most Iraqis consider Hadi al-Amiri to be a "mercenary" of the Iranian government."

  •  This "Iraqi Mobilization" force has so far committed countless crimes in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities.
