Netherlands joins Germany's plan to put IRGC on EU terror list

The Netherlands supported Germany in a proposal to place the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps on the European Union's list of terrorist organizations.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz met with Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Volkkamp on Wednesday, July 10, at the NATO summit in Washington, DC. While pointing out the need to promote severe sanctions against Iran, he tweeted: "The Netherlands will join the initiative to promote the European Union's decision to declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization."

According to reports published last week, the European Union accepted Germany's request to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist entity.

Israel Katz also spoke at the NATO summit about China's increasing activity in the Middle East and its relations with Russia and Iran, especially in the field of information exchange.
