Washington Post: Donald Trump's 30,000 lies in four years in office

The number of lies and misinformation in Donald Trump's statements during his presidency has been announced at 30,573. Lies and fake news that have not only harmed America and its politics in the world, but have even damaged his own reputation.

From the very first day of his presidency, Donald Trump has clearly demonstrated that he has a particular approach to facts and statistics.

The Washington Post has published a report stating that the number of lies and misinformation that Trump has stated, either verbally or in writing, during his four years in office is 30,573.

Spiegel Online also reported on the news, writing that Trump has "told lie after lie during this time," from the unprecedented and historic reception of his inauguration (his first official day in office) to the claim of election fraud on his last day as President of the United States.

The Washington Post launched a section called "Fact Checker" 10 years ago to verify the words and statements of politicians. The newspaper has reported on a number of false and inaccurate news stories put forward by Trump.

According to the newspaper, in his first year in office, Trump "has delivered an average of six lies or incorrect news to the media and the public every day."

According to the Washington Post, the number of Trump's lies has increased day by day, to the point that in the first 27 months of his presidency, he has told 10,000 lies and false news. But the number of lies and false news in his statements has increased dramatically in the final months of his presidency. In the last five months of his presidency, the number of lies and false news in his statements has reached 10,000.

The Washington Post's "Fact Checker" section has announced that Trump has made 2,500 false and misinformation statements regarding the coronavirus outbreak alone.

The former US president refrained from spreading false news during the six days he was hospitalized with COVID-19. But after recovering, he resumed spreading false news. On some days, the number of lies and misinformation he uttered was said to be more than 150.
