Ali Mojtahedzadeh's reaction to the sealing of shops by the Imam of Friday prayers in Qeshm

Ali Mojtahedzadeh reacted to the sealing of shops and businesses of citizens by the Qeshm Friday Police.

Gholamreza Hajbi, the Friday prayer leader of Qeshm, visited shopping malls and public places, warned against fasting in public and not wearing a hijab in public spaces, and ordered the sealing of shops that did not comply and provided services to women without a hijab.

Attorney Ali Mojtahedzadeh also reacted to this act and stated: "Issuing an order to seal businesses and public centers is one of the matters that is only within the jurisdiction of judicial authorities or judicial officers, and that is possible by following the legal path and based on legal criteria and evidence. This means that not only can no authority except judicial authorities or judicial officers take such action, but the same competent authorities do not have the authority to do so outside the framework of the law. In this respect, the Imam of Friday prayers in Qeshm has committed two illegal acts at the same time. Sealing trade unions and businesses of people due to providing services or the presence of customers without a headscarf has no legal basis or validity."

The order to seal shops by the Friday prayer leader of a city for breaking the fast and not wearing the hijab has been issued at a time when it has been 5 months since the chemical attacks on schools and poisoning of students, and no action has been taken by the regime regarding these attacks. However, the hijab is not the main problem of society, which is being dealt with in this way by various authorities.
