US Secretary of State: Islamic Republic is facing a crisis of legitimacy
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday, March 27, that the Iranian regime is facing a crisis of legitimacy with parliamentary elections with the lowest turnout rate since 1979.
He wrote on Twitter that Khamenei is lying instead of accepting responsibility for killing passengers on a passenger plane and the dangers at home that threaten people's health. The Secretary of State of President Trump's administration further added that the Leader of the Islamic Republic is ruining the children of Iran by killing them in a senseless massacre in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had previously referred to the low turnout of the Iranian people in the parliamentary elections, calling them "a sham election."
