Babak Khoramdin's parents confessed to two more murders

The head of Tehran's criminal prosecution says that the parents of the murdered director Babak Khorramdin have also confessed to the murder of their daughter and son-in-law in their latest confessions.

Mohammad Shahriari, head of the Tehran Criminal Prosecutor's Office, told ILNA news agency that Khoramdin's parents stated in their confession that they murdered the son-in-law of the Khoramdin family in 2011 and the daughter of the family in 2018 in the same way, namely by dismembering the body and transferring it to a trash can.

According to the judge, the two individuals stated their motive for the murders, saying that “the children were addicts and used drugs.” Mr. Shahriari said that “of course, investigations in this area are ongoing.”

Mohammad Shahriari stated that in 2011, the son-in-law of this family was reported missing, and added: "The psychiatrist said that the killers are healthy."

On Sunday, May 16, the mutilated remains of Iranian cinema director Babak Khoramdin were discovered in a trash can in the Ekbatan neighborhood of Tehran. Hours later, Babak Khoramdin's parents confessed in the criminal court that they had murdered him and abandoned his dismembered body in three locations in Tehran.
