US B-52 bombers fly over the Persian Gulf again

A day after the IRGC's missile drill and test, US warplanes once again flew over the waters of the Persian Gulf. B-52 bombers conducted patrols in the Persian Gulf after crossing Israeli airspace.

Tensions in the Persian Gulf have increased in the final days of Donald Trump's presidency. The Islamic Republic of Iran has held three military exercises in recent weeks, and the United States has increased its military presence in the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.

The Associated Press has published a report announcing the resumption of US bomber flights over the waters of the Persian Gulf.

Israeli media has previously confirmed the flight of American B-52 bombers over the country's skies.

The Jerusalem Post newspaper published a short news report reporting the flight of two American B-52 bombers over the country's skies.

The newspaper's report states that American bombers flew over Israeli skies on Sunday, January 17, conducting patrols over the waters of the Persian Gulf.

This is the fifth flight of US fighter jets over the Persian Gulf in recent weeks. The US has increased its military presence in the region, especially in connection with the anniversary of the drone attack on the car of Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force.

The flight of US warplanes over the waters of the Persian Gulf comes a day after the Revolutionary Guards' missile test.

In a report published on Iran's missile launch during the IRGC exercise, Fox News claimed that one of the Iranian missiles landed 100 miles from the US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz.
