The case of detained lawyers Qasem Sholeh Saadi and Arash Kaykhosravi went to the Court of Appeals.

The case of Qasem Sholeh Saadi and Arash Keykhosravi, each previously sentenced to 6 years in prison, has been sent to the Court of Appeals.

Mohammad Hossein Aghasi, announcing the news on Tuesday, February 13, said that the Court of Appeals has not yet set a date for hearing the case of these lawyers.

Arash Kaykhosravi and Qasem Sholeh Saadi were sentenced to five years in prison this year by Branch 15 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolghasem Salavati, on charges of "assembly and collusion" and one year in prison on charges of "propaganda activity against the regime."

These two lawyers were arrested on August 17 in front of the Islamic Consultative Assembly building.

At the time, Qasem Sholeh Saadi announced that he would appear before the parliament to protest against the discretionary supervision. He stated that the country’s situation “is the result of the deprivation of the nation’s sovereignty through the evil tradition of discretionary supervision,” and that he would “take up the banner of the fight against discretionary supervision.”
