Christendom and Persecution
Indian Christian doctor suspended for praying for coronavirus patients

Dr. Sandha Tiwari, Indian Christian physician
A Christian doctor in India has been suspended after praying for some of his patients to be healed in the name of God.
After a patient complained to Dr. Sandha Tiwari, a Christian doctor at the hospital, about praying for critically ill coronavirus patients, the police confiscated her mobile phone and Christian pamphlets, and hospital officials suspended her from work.
According to persecution, in a short clip that has been circulating on Indian social media, Dr. Tiwari defended his actions, saying, "What's wrong with telling patients that God heals? I didn't tell anyone to convert or force anyone to pray, I just prayed for the patients in the name of Jesus Christ."
Now, this young Christian doctor, who lives in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is facing charges of preaching Christianity at his workplace, and Hindu nationalists have demanded that he be tried in court.
It is worth noting that India is facing the worst wave of coronavirus in the world, with more than 300,000 new cases being identified in India every day.
