Dutch police say they arrested four attackers in front of the Islamic Republic embassy in The Hague

Some Dutch sources reported an attack by a group opposed to the Islamic Republic on the Iranian embassy in The Hague.

The Dutch website The Telegraph published a video on Wednesday evening showing about eight people storming the embassy after a gathering in front of it, but the police quickly dealt with them. Police say they have arrested four people.

The incident in front of the Iranian embassy took place two days after the European Union imposed sanctions. The Netherlands had also announced that the Islamic Republic had carried out at least two assassinations in the country.

Earlier this year, Ahmad Nisi, a member of the Al-Ahwaz group, was killed in the Netherlands.

Mike Pompeo had previously welcomed the actions of the Netherlands and other countries to sanction the Islamic Republic for condemning the Islamic Republic's terrorist acts.
