"Five killed, six injured" in gas pipeline explosion near Ahvaz

Fars News Agency reported on Thursday, citing the CEO of the Ahvaz Fire Department, that a deadly explosion occurred in the gas pipes on the Ahvaz-Mahshahr freeway.
Reports so far indicate that five people died in the explosion.

Spokesperson for the country's emergency services:
*This morning, an explosion on the Ahvaz-Ramhormoz oil pipeline route caused three patrol cars, a Pride, and a bus to catch fire.

The news agency put the death toll in the incident at five and said the cause was a "gas leak."
Fars quoted the head of the Khuzestan Emergency Center as saying: "Five people have been killed and six injured in the gas pipeline explosion incident due to a gas leak on the Ahvaz-Mahshahr freeway."
In contrast, the Khuzestan crisis manager has announced the number of deaths at four.
According to Ali Torabpour, director of the Ahvaz Fire Department, "A bus, a Samand car, and a Nissan pickup caught fire in this incident."
He further noted that "there are currently no statistics available on the number of injured."
