According to HRANA News Agency, citing Kurdpa, today, Monday, February 26, 2020, the bodies of two more missing Kolbars were discovered in the border areas of Urmia city.

Hours before the discovery of the bodies of these two Kolbars, the bodies of three other missing Kolbars were discovered under the avalanche.

According to this report, their identities have been given as Yavar Aslani and Furat Khodai.

The bodies of these kolbars, who went missing due to an avalanche on Monday, January 19, 2020, were discovered after 8 days thanks to the efforts of residents of the area.

Kolbari is a false and arduous job that people in border areas turn to due to a lack of job opportunities, and dozens of people are killed or injured every year in the face of natural hazards or as a result of shooting by border guards.

Part of the annual report on the human rights situation in Iran, specifically for 2020, focuses on citizens who have been killed or injured by military forces.

In addition to material damages, the killing of pack animals, and accidents including frostbite and avalanches, this report records the killing of 36 Kolbars (border porters) and the injury of 109 of them by border and law enforcement forces.

It should be noted that 9 other Kolbars also suffered accidents due to climatic and geographical conditions, such as frostbite and falling from a height, of which 4 Kolbars were injured and 5 Kolbars died.
