“Terrorist attack against 50 targets discovered in Iran”

Iran's intelligence minister announced the discovery of a terrorist attack against 50 targets in Iran and the arrest of 10 people. He presented a report in a closed session of the parliament. According to a member of parliament, Tehran, Mahabad, and Chabahar were the targets of bombings.
Iranian Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi appeared before reporters on Tuesday (June 21) after a closed-door session of the parliament and a report to the representatives.
The Minister of Intelligence announced that in the past 7 days, from June 15 to 19, "10 Takfiri Wahhabi terrorists" have been arrested in Tehran and three border and central provinces of Iran, and that "interrogation of the terrorists" and the process of intelligence and operational follow-up "inside and outside the country simultaneously and comprehensively" are continuing.
Intelligence Minister: We have identified 50 explosive targets
Mahmoud Alavi added that the failed operation "took the form of remote bombings and explosions, suicide operations, and car explosions carrying large amounts of explosives, with the aim of detonating in crowded and crowded gathering places."
According to the Minister of Intelligence, the arrested individuals had identified 50 explosive targets and had prepared explosives for some of the targets and were in the process of preparing, preparing, and receiving others.
Alavi added in another part of his speech, "So far, the equivalent of 100 kilograms of explosive materials and their precursor compounds have been discovered and seized, and the delivery of two tons of these materials to terrorists has been prevented."
Report to the closed session of the Parliament
In response to reporters' questions about more details regarding the "recent discovery of a terrorist act" in Tehran and several other provinces, the Minister of Intelligence promised that he would "provide a detailed report to the public in this regard."
According to Tasnim, a news agency close to the Revolutionary Guards, Javad Karimi-Qudousi, a representative from Mashhad and a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, regarding the presence of the Minister of Intelligence in the closed session, said: "Hojjatoleslam Alavi presented details of the special operations of this ministry (intelligence) in discovering and arresting terrorist groups that were planning to bomb Tehran, Mahabad, Chabahar and several other points in the country."
Karimi Ghoddousi pointed out that in this meeting, the Minister of Intelligence announced the readiness of the country's security services to carry out "preemptive operations against terrorist groups" and contain them "in the same area."
Doubts about the presence of ISIS forces inside Iran
Iran's intelligence minister has previously made similar announcements, each time refusing to provide further details. The names of those arrested and how the bombs were discovered have not been announced. No pictures of the arrested have been released.
Earlier, Brigadier General Bahman Reyhani, commander of the Prophet's Guard in Kermanshah, had also announced: "Many teams of the ISIS group that were active in this province for two years have been arrested by the Guard and the Ministry of Intelligence."
This is despite the fact that, contrary to the claims of Iranian intelligence and security officials about the "discovery of ISIS terrorist teams" in Tehran and some parts of the country, there are doubts about the "presence of ISIS forces" in Iran.
Ali Younesi, the Minister of Information during the era of Mohammad Khatami and Hassan Rouhani's assistant for ethnic and religious minorities, has explicitly told the IRNA news agency (November 29/December 29) that "there is no movement aligned with ISIS among Shiites and Sunnis, as well as other sects, in the Islamic Republic of Iran."
