"Cory Comprehension" was the victim of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, a devout Christian.

The governor of Pennsylvania called Corey Comprehension, the victim of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, a committed Christian.
During the shooting and attempted assassination of former President and presidential candidate Donald Trump during his speech in Pennsylvania, a 50-year-old firefighter named "Corry Compreter" who was present at the event was killed. Before dying, he threw himself on his wife and daughter to protect them from the gunfire.
"Corey is my hero," said Corey's wife, Helen Compretor. "He just said, 'Get down!' That was the last thing he said during the shooting." Helen and Corey, who have been in love since high school and have been married since, added: "We were about to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary and went to a Trump campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania, to support the former president. My kids and I were there as a family, it was going to be a good day with the family."
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro called Corey a hero, saying, "He was a former county fire chief. He was a devout Christian who attended church every Sunday. Corey loved his fellow citizens and loved his family."
The Pennsylvania governor added about his death: "The blind man, who was the victim of this attempt, selflessly dived towards his family members to protect them after hearing the sound of gunfire and was shot."
An emergency room doctor who was among Trump supporters at the speech attempted to save Corey with CPR but was unsuccessful. Corey's wife Helen and daughter Allison posted a message on social media calling him a hero who shielded his family from disaster.
