The Fourth Branch of the Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Dezful City has issued a summons for eight Christians in the city on charges of propaganda against the regime.
Over the past 42 years, the regime's revolutionary courts have routinely arrested and detained leaders and members of Iranian house churches on charges of propaganda against the regime and acts against national security, and many Christians have been sentenced to long prison terms for their faith.
The verdict issued to Alireza Roshaneizadeh, Alireza Varksha, Masoud Noui, Mohammad Ali Torabi Shangri, Hojjat Lotfi Khalafjoy, Mohammad Kaedgup, Mohsen Saadatizadeh, and Esmail Narimanpour by the Revolutionary Court of Dezful County was issued in a situation where widespread anti-government protests have engulfed the entire province of Khuzestan.
It should be noted that on Monday, April 19, at around 7:30 AM, security officers raided the homes of Ali Varksha, Hojat Lotfi Khalaf, Ismail Narimanpour, and Mohammad Ali Torabi, and after searching the homes, the security officers also confiscated their mobile phones.
The summons from the Dezful City Revolutionary Court was issued following their arrest and temporary release.
