"Geghard Mansourian": Security and national interests are Iran's red line

In a warning to Russia, Gegard Mansourian said: "Security and national interests are Iran's red line, and Russia must know this."
In his recent remarks, Armenian MP Geghard Mansourian, while referring to the controversy over what the Republic of Azerbaijan calls "Western belligerence," stated: "Russia only thinks about its own interests in its own country. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov declares that we have red lines that everyone must respect. Certainly, Iran also has red lines that encompass the security and national interests of our country, and we will not allow any country to harm our interests and security."
He also emphasized in his statements that geopolitical changes in the Caucasus, especially on the border between Iran and Armenia, are also among Iran's red lines, adding: "Iran and Russia have good cooperation with each other and are aligned in terms of economic, military, and logistical cooperation; but Russia and all countries should know that security and national interests, which are among Iran's red lines, are not negotiable or changeable."
"The Iran-Armenia border is also one of the oldest international borders, and if any changes are made to the border, such as creating or removing a border, Iran will certainly react harshly, and everyone knows this."
Regarding Iran's military defense of its borders, Geghard Mansourian added: "During this period, the Islamic Republic, as a "revisionist" actor in the international system and opposed to the presence of the West on its northern borders, has repeatedly opposed the formation of NATO's Turanian Corridor and, by holding numerous military exercises, has sent the message to the Azeri side that if there is an intention to change the border lines between Iran and Armenia, Tehran will defend its national interests with all its might."
Mr. Mansourian, emphasizing the significant increase in tension between Iran and the Zionist regime in the region, continued: "It seems that regional and trans-regional actors intend to exploit this situation and change the international borders in this region. Therefore, it is necessary to remind the actors active in the South Caucasus equations that the Islamic Republic of Iran has the ability to focus on several different fronts and, if necessary, will take the necessary measures to maintain peace and security in the region."
The economic border of the North-South Corridor is the Iranian-Armenian border, and by entering the Armenian border, we can have close economic cooperation with Eurasian countries, and we can also transport economic goods to Europe through this route. Therefore, this corridor is considered an important economic corridor for Iran. With the destruction and elimination of the border, one neighboring country will be less than Iran, and this is one of Iran's severe red lines, but Russia does not need this corridor, and even this corridor can be a serious threat to Russia, because if this corridor is under the sovereignty of another country other than Armenia, NATO can enter the Caucasus, the borders of Iran, and the Caspian Sea.
He concluded his remarks by saying: "Russia must know that when dividing its economic interests, it must also respect the interests and security of other countries. Russia has also rejected Iran's red lines in two positions, which include the three islands, the Caucasus issue, and the Zangezur corridor. Russia is seeking to take over the sovereignty and control of this corridor, and Armenia and Yerevan have distanced themselves from Moscow in recent years, and this is considered a serious threat to Armenia and the Caucasus."
