"Golrokh Iraei": Our children's being left alone at the gallows is due to our own inaction

Political prisoner Golrokh Iraei said in response to the executions: "The fact that our children are left alone at the gallows is due to our own inaction. We must reclaim the streets."
Golrokh Iraei, a political prisoner imprisoned in Evin Prison, released a message from prison in response to the possible execution of prisoners of conscience Khosrow Basharat and Kamran Sheikheh, writing: "The fact that our children are left alone at the gallows is not only due to repression, but also partly due to our own passivity and inaction. We must take back the streets that have been taken from us through a thousand tricks."
Ms. Iraei also participated in the protest last year against the execution of the defendants in the so-called "House of Isfahan" case, which was carried out by a sit-in of many prisoners, including Narges Mohammadi, Sepideh Qolyan, Faezeh Hashemi, Nasrin Khezri, and many political prisoners of conscience. She said in protest against the execution of innocent youth: "Our silence confirms the dishonor of the commanders and perpetrators of these crimes and our participation in raising the gallows. The only way to fight is on the street, which, although a step forward each time, was unsuccessful due to batons, bullets, intimidation, and lack of organization of protests. Not in our cars, nor on the balconies of our houses in the dark of night, not with hashtags, issuing statements, and continuous condemnations. Obviously, I was not on the street without a mask. To claim our rights and to free the lives of dozens of people who will be hanged with the call to prayer tomorrow morning and in the coming days. "Our silence is a confirmation of the dishonor of the perpetrators and perpetrators of this crime and is tantamount to the support of their international allies who have preferred the interests of diplomatic relations to the closure of their embassies."
