A woman became the head of the Iranian Gymnastics Federation.

"Zahra Incheh Dargahi" was elected as the president of the Iranian Gymnastics Federation by the electoral assembly.
Ms. Incheh Dargahi received the most votes among the four candidates for the presidency of the federation in the election held on Monday, July 9, with the participation of 44 members of the assembly.
According to Iranian domestic news agencies, Ms. Incheh Dargahi was elected president of the Gymnastics Federation with 24 votes in the vote, which was held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Sports and a representative of the National Olympic Committee, while the second-place candidate received half of her votes.
Before Ms. Dargahi, women had also headed the skating and polo federations.
Ms. Incheh Dargahi was a national champion for 11 years and a coach of the women's national team for 10 years. She was selected as the first Iranian female referee for international competitions by the Technical Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). She also served as the head of the Gymnastics Federation for a year in 2015.
In 2004, after being removed from the presidency of the Women's Association of the Gymnastics Federation, she also resigned as vice president of the federation in protest of the federation's policies.
He has a doctorate in physical medicine and rehabilitation and was also responsible for the medical committee of the Gymnastics Federation for a while.
