A medical official: The number of doctors in Tehran is ten times that of Sistan and Baluchestan Province

The technical deputy of Tehran's medical system says that the number of doctors in the capital is ten times that of Sistan and Baluchestan province.
Ali Dabbagh told ISNA that, according to official statistics from the Medical System Organization in Sistan and Baluchestan, there are an average of six doctors working for every ten thousand people.
This is despite the fact that, according to him, there are an average of about seventy doctors working in Tehran for every ten thousand people.
Mr. Dabbagh emphasized that one of the solutions to create balance in all provinces of the country is to increase the income of doctors in deprived areas.
According to him, every doctor needs at least a team of 12 people to do their job, including nurses, pharmacists, laboratory staff, operating room staff, etc., and they must also have a decent income.
In recent years, several thousand Iranian doctors and nurses have emigrated to neighboring countries, Europe, and the United States, and according to Ministry of Health officials, the country is facing a shortage of trained personnel in some specialized medical fields.
