17 hospitals in Khuzestan have a shortage of oxygen generators

Farhad Abolnejadian, head of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, referring to the widespread spread of coronavirus in the province, said that at least 17 hospitals in Khuzestan province "do not have oxygen generators or are facing a shortage."
According to ISNA, speaking at the Corona Management Headquarters meeting in Khuzestan on Sunday, July 5, he referred to the increased demand for oxygen generators and said that the supply of these devices "has encountered problems from the manufacturing companies" and has become a "problem" in all hospitals.
He also announced a two-and-a-half to three-fold increase in the price of these devices.
Previously, some government officials had announced an increase in the production of oxygen generators and the export of these devices to other countries.
In late April of this year, the oxygen generator became the subject of a verbal argument between Mohammad Javad Zarif and Donald Trump.
On April 20, the US President said that the United States has thousands of additional ventilators that it can deliver to Iranian medical facilities.
The proposal was met with a negative response from Zarif, who tweeted: “Iran will be exporting ventilators within the next few months,” and asked Trump not to “interfere” in Iranian affairs.
