33 People Injured in Khan Zanian Earthquake in Shiraz

A hospital official in Fars Province reported the number of people injured in the earthquake in the Khan Zanian area of Shiraz as 33 people, saying that two of the injured were transferred to the hospital.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale struck the Khan Zanian area, located 41 kilometers from Shiraz, on Monday at 16:58:26. Khan Zanian is part of the Arjan district of Shiraz County.

Dr. Ali Akbari, Deputy Director of Treatment at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, says that except for two people who were sent to the hospital, the rest of the earthquake victims received outpatient treatment.

According to reports from Iranian media, this earthquake was felt more strongly in the central and western parts of Shiraz and caused fear among residents.

On Monday evening, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 also occurred in Bafq City in Yazd Province.
