33 people injured in Khan Zanian earthquake in Shiraz

A hospital official in Fars Province announced the number of injured people in the earthquake in the Khan Zenian area of ​​Shiraz at 33, saying that two of the injured were taken to the hospital.

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck near Khan Zanian, 41 kilometers from Shiraz, on Monday at 4:58:26 p.m. (03:58:26 GMT). Khan Zanian is a village in the Arjan district of Shiraz.

Dr. Ali Akbari, deputy director of medical treatment at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, says that except for two people who were sent to the hospital, the rest of the earthquake victims were treated on an outpatient basis.

According to Iranian media reports, the earthquake was felt most in the central and western parts of Shiraz and caused fear among citizens.

On Monday evening, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Bafq County in Yazd Province.
