Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan Condemn Islamic Republic’s Attacks on Their Territories

Following recent attacks by the Islamic Republic on Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, these three countries condemned the attacks, and other regional countries, while condemning these attacks, called for restraint and a return to dialogue to achieve understanding between Tehran and Washington.
Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry stated on Thursday in a statement that “we condemn and denounce in the strongest terms the continued criminal and repeated aggression of Iran against Kuwait.”
The ministry emphasized that Kuwait reserves the right to take necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory and installations.
In Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry statement, it was stated: “The repetition of Iran’s aggression demonstrates an organized aggressive approach that Kuwait will not accept and will not show complacency towards.”
Bahrain’s military also announced on Thursday that the government “continues its hostile and systematic approach through its criminal attacks with missiles and drones that target civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
In Bahrain’s military statement, it was stated: “The deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law.”
Jordan’s state news agency, citing a military source at the General Command of the Armed Forces, reported that Jordan’s air defense systems, with support from the Royal Air Force’s aircraft, intercepted and shot down 20 missiles fired from the Iranian government towards the Al-Azraq area in Al-Zarqa province on Thursday morning.
The informed source emphasized that “any violation of Jordan’s airspace will be dealt with decisively and the armed forces will continue to carry out their duties to ensure the security and safety of the Kingdom.”
Reactions from Other Regional Countries
The United Arab Emirates condemned in the strongest terms the renewed aggressive attacks by the Islamic Republic that targeted Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait with missiles and drones.
The UAE’s Foreign Ministry emphasized on Thursday in a statement that these aggressive attacks constitute a clear violation of the sovereignty of these three countries and pose a threat to their security and stability.
The ministry reiterated the United Arab Emirates’ complete solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan and emphasized its support for any measures that help preserve the security and stability of these countries.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry also condemned on Thursday the renewed attacks by the Iranian government on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, describing it as “a clear violation of international law.”
In the statement by this ministry, it was stated: “We emphasize the necessity of protecting the region from the consequences of these unjustified attacks and efforts to reduce tensions in order to restore security and stability at the regional and international levels, and the State of Qatar reaffirms its complete solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and its support for all measures these countries undertake to preserve their sovereignty and security.”
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry also condemned in a statement “the repetition of Iran’s attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait” and stated: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia calls for de-escalation, avoidance of escalation of conflicts, and the preference of wisdom through a return to the path of diplomacy.”
Riyadh emphasized that it calls for the completion of negotiations that Pakistan is overseeing and the continuation of joint efforts by the State of Qatar.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council condemned in the strongest terms “the repeated treacherous attacks by the Islamic Republic” on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.
Jasem Mohammad Al-Budaiwi in his statement, while expressing strong disgust at “the repeated aggression by the Islamic Republic,” emphasized that targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure undermines international and regional efforts to establish security, peace, and resolve the crisis.
He also stated that the Gulf Cooperation Council will support the measures taken by Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan to strengthen security, preserve sovereignty, and protect territorial integrity.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the country’s Foreign Minister, discussed “the evolving regional situation” with Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, on Wednesday evening, and emphasized the “importance of dialogue and restraint.”
In the statement by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, it was stated: “Both sides expressed hope that in the near future, an understanding will be reached among all parties that will contribute to peace and sustainable stability in the region.”
Turkey’s Foreign Minister said that the Islamic Republic and the United States should stop their renewed attacks and return to negotiations to prevent any further escalation of tensions.
Hakan Fidan said on Thursday in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, that Turkey’s recommendation to both sides, as the country is in close contact with Washington, Tehran, and Pakistan as mediator, is to work to finalize negotiations on a peace agreement.
The UN Secretary-General warned of escalating crisis in the Middle East and called for efforts by all parties to reach a diplomatic solution.
António Guterres wrote on Thursday in a post on social media X that the Middle East “is increasingly being dragged towards crisis” and the consequences of this situation could extend beyond the region’s borders.
