Death Sentence of “Bahman Chobi” on Charges of Contact with Israel Carried Out

The death sentence of “Bahman Chobi” on charges of contact with Israel was carried out after confirmation by the Supreme Court of the country.

The death sentence of “Bahman Chobi-Asl,” who according to the regime’s claims was one of the most important spies affiliated with Israel’s intelligence service (Mossad) in Iran, was carried out this morning after following legal procedures and confirmation by the Supreme Court of the country.

According to the claims of the judiciary, Bahman Chobi, who was a database specialist, gained access to vital and telecommunications projects of the country through his presence in a knowledge-based company and through this began extensive cooperation with Mossad. With high-level access to government information banks, he pursued objectives that Israel’s intelligence service had designed for penetrating Iran’s data centers.

Chobi-Asl was identified by Mossad agents in one of the Persian Gulf littoral states. After that, under the cover of a foreign company called ESMI, he entered into cooperation and underwent several technical and security training courses on multiple foreign trips including to India, Ireland, and other countries.

According to him, Mossad agents, in addition to paying for travel expenses, provided him with training in the use of secure communication systems, data transfer through special memory devices, and encryption methods.

The convict in his confessions referred to Mossad’s needs in the field of access to Iran’s data centers, contact with companies active in electronic equipment, as well as infiltration into sensitive projects. In return for cooperating with Israel’s intelligence service, he received financial amounts, training costs, and advanced espionage tools.

According to the judiciary’s statements, Mossad’s confidence in Chobi was such that not only had he met with senior officials of this service, but he was also used in safe houses as a technical assessor of other Mossad agents. Even the latest versions of “Red Windows” (one of the special espionage tools) were placed at his disposal.

After Chobi-Asl’s arrest, his case was sent to court on the charge of “corruption on earth” through intelligence cooperation with the occupying Zionist regime. In court, in the presence of the defendant’s defense lawyer, documents were reviewed and a death sentence was issued. This sentence was confirmed in the Supreme Court and then carried out.

However, an important point in the execution of this sentence is that Bahman Chobi’s execution took place under circumstances where, prior to the official announcement of the news by the judiciary’s media, no information about his arrest or the process of examining his case had been published in the media. Furthermore, the judiciary’s claims regarding the confidence of Mossad officials in Chobi were made without presenting any documents or evidence and are merely assumptions by officials; because in similar previous cases, the judiciary and state media have broadcast documents and forced confessions of defendants before carrying out sentences, and on many occasions clear signs of the regime’s document fabrication and their scripted scenarios have been evident.

The execution of Bahman Chobi in media silence once again revealed the crimes of the Islamic Republic carried out in secret and further exposed the danger facing political prisoners, religious prisoners, civil activists, and opponents of the regime.
