Israeli Military Prepares for Attack on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

The Israeli military is preparing for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

According to reports from “Axios,” the assessment of Israeli intelligence organizations regarding nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States has changed. Israeli intelligence agencies previously believed that Iran and the United States would reach an agreement, but now they believe that the failure and collapse of negotiations is more likely.

As a result, the Israeli military is preparing for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities so that in the event negotiations fail and collapse, it can quickly attack Iran.

CNN news network on Tuesday, May 20, reported citing American officials: “The United States has obtained intelligence regarding Israeli measures to prepare for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, and the military of this country has conducted exercises aimed at preparing for this attack.”

One of Axios’s sources also confirmed the news, saying: “Many drills have been conducted. The U.S. military sees and understands everything that Israel is preparing.”

An Israeli official also stated in this regard: “Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, is waiting for the collapse of nuclear negotiations and waiting for a moment when Donald Trump, the President of the United States, becomes disappointed with the negotiations and gives him the green light.” According to this Israeli official’s statements, Benjamin Netanyahu held a very sensitive meeting early this week with a group of ministers, security and intelligence officials regarding the situation of nuclear negotiations.

One of the American officials also reacted to this report, stating: “The Trump administration is concerned that Netanyahu will attack Iran even without receiving Donald Trump’s green light.”

Benjamin Netanyahu also announced yesterday through a message that Israel would welcome an agreement that prevents Iran’s uranium enrichment capability. He also said: “Israel is completely coordinated with the United States. We are constantly in contact with them. We hope that they will be able to reach an agreement that prevents Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

This means such an agreement must prevent Iran from having the capability to enrich uranium. If such an agreement is reached, of course we will welcome it. But in any case, Israel preserves its right to defend itself against a regime that threatens us with destruction.”

It should be noted that tomorrow, Friday, May 23, the fifth round of nuclear negotiations will be held. This is while Ayatollah Khamenei in his latest speech about the negotiations said: “I do not think nuclear negotiations with America will bear fruit. The claim that we will not allow Iran to enrich uranium is a serious mistake.” Officials of the Islamic Republic have repeatedly emphasized that they will never sign an agreement that does not include uranium enrichment in Iran.
