Prince Faisal bin Farhan: Establishing Palestinian State is a Condition for Relations with Israel

Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, made the establishment of a Palestinian state a condition for normalizing relations with Israel.

Prince Farhan, at the inaugural meeting of the International Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution in Riyadh, which was announced to be formed in September, while emphasizing the first condition for establishing relations with Israel, announced the convening of an Arab-Islamic leaders summit to review the situation in Gaza and Lebanon. He deemed the establishment of a Palestinian state as the first condition for normalizing relations with Israel.

At the inaugural meeting of the International Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution on Wednesday, November 30th, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Farhan declared that Riyadh will do whatever is necessary to stop the war in the Gaza Strip. While emphasizing Riyadh’s support for the United Nations relief agency “UNRWA,” he announced Riyadh’s opposition to the mass killing of Palestinians by Israel.

The aforementioned meeting, which began today, will continue for two days to implement the two-state solution, with Prince bin Farhan serving as host of this meeting. In this international meeting, diplomats and envoys from various countries and regional and international organizations are present to be able to present a specific timeline for implementing the plan to establish a Palestinian state and implement the two-state solution.

Faisal bin Farhan also stated that many Western and Eastern countries have begun discussions on recognizing Palestine as a state. Participants in the aforementioned meeting will also consult on implementing initial steps to support international peace efforts, promote the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and end occupation.

It should be noted that in the aforementioned meeting, which will have representatives from 149 countries, in addition to Norway’s representative, the Ministerial Liaison and Follow-up Committee of the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the European Union have also participated.
