Kuwaiti Prince ‘Abdullah Al-Sabah’ Converts to Christianity

Reports indicate that Prince ‘Abdullah Al-Sabah’, a member of Kuwait’s royal family, has converted to Christianity.

The release of an audio file by Abdullah Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti prince, on the Christian satellite television network ‘Al-Haq’, in which he declared his faith in Jesus Christ, triggered strong reactions from Muslims.

Reports published from social media and satellite networks over the past few weeks indicate the conversion of Prince Abdullah from Kuwait’s royal family to Jesus Christ. In the released audio file bearing his name, Prince Al-Sabah, while confirming his faith in Jesus Christ, states: “If I am killed because of the recording in which I spoke about changing my religion, I firmly believe that I will meet Jesus Christ face to face and will be with him forever.”

Many Muslims have reacted strongly to the Kuwaiti prince’s conversion and declared that he is not a member of the royal family. Prince Abdullah also stated regarding his faith: “I accept whatever is done to me, because the truth in the Holy Bible has guided me to the right path.”

The Al-Sabah family is Kuwait’s royal family, and Middle Eastern news sources have reported that the audio file was released by the satellite network ‘Al-Haq’, which broadcasts Christian religious programs in Arabic.
