Armenian Apostolic Church of Isfahan and Southern Iran Calls for Participation in Elections

The Armenian Apostolic Church of Isfahan and Southern Iran, through the issuance of a statement, invited the Armenian community of Iran to participate in the elections.

Tomorrow, Friday, corresponding to 8 Tir 1403, the fourteenth round of elections will be held to elect the ninth President of Iran, and Ayatollah Khamenei has repeatedly emphasized the maximum participation of people in these elections.

The Armenian Apostolic Church of Isfahan and Southern Iran also, through the issuance of a statement, invited fellow citizens and the Armenian community of Iran to participate in these elections. In the said statement, it reads: “With the rule of law and discipline that has been institutionalized at the head of all state affairs, the country is now well-prepared, active and vibrant to hold another fateful election. This election, which has come about in a short legal window following the martyrdom of the devoted President, has demonstrated the country’s political stability and the social maturity of the people and administrative bodies in managing crises.

The presidential election is a precious opportunity for the nation’s demands to be heard once more and for the will of governments to be strengthened in serving the nation. We well know that the future of our dear children, the realization of social justice, development, welfare and greater prosperity for the worthy nation of Iran depends on conscious participation in the elections. Therefore, we call upon all fellow citizens, especially the Armenian community of Iran, to demonstrate once again with a grand presence in the elections, our political insight, unity, sympathy and national solidarity.”
