“Christophe Ayad”: Hezbollah Will Enter War with Israel If Direct Attack on Iran Occurs

Christophe Ayad reported on Hezbollah Lebanon’s entry into war with Israel in the event of a direct attack on Iran.
“Christophe Ayad,” a Middle East expert and special correspondent for “Le Monde,” said in an interview with the French weekly “Le Point”: “A direct attack on Iran’s government or a comprehensive attack against Lebanon will bring Hezbollah into the war.”
He stated that if Hezbollah Lebanon did not enter into war with Israel following the October 7 attack, despite daily border skirmishes, it was because Hamas’s attack on Israel caught Hezbollah off guard as it was preparing a similar operation against Israel. Additionally, factors such as Lebanon’s dire situation and the collapse of Lebanese infrastructure in the event of war, as well as Hezbollah’s lack of capability for such a conflict, have prevented the group from entering the war.
Christophe Ayad, while emphasizing that the objectives of the IRGC Quds Force and Hezbollah in the region are the same, added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has not yet given the green light for Hezbollah’s direct engagement in war against Israel. However, Hezbollah Lebanon has today become an advanced army equipped with a large number of sophisticated weapons, which has managed to transform Syria into its strategic depth. Hezbollah’s large arsenal contains 150,000 rockets and missiles.”
He concluded by saying: “Hezbollah’s extensive activities in Europe are under observation, and its networks will be activated in the near future and likely in the event of an attack on Iran.”
