Rapper Saman Yasin Transferred from Rajaishahr Prison to Evin Prison

Rapper and songwriter “Saman Yasin” has been transferred from Rajaishahr Prison to Evin Prison.

According to a report by the human rights organization “Hengaw,” 27-year-old political prisoner Saman Yasin has been transferred from Rajaishahr Prison to Ward 8 of Evin Prison. His transfer was carried out immediately along with other political prisoners with prior records.

Saman Yasin recently announced his urgent need for transfer to medical centers outside the prison due to unstable physical and mental health following an injection of an unknown medication. According to his statements, he was given an injection at the Aminabad Psychiatric Center, and he has identified Judge Soleivati and other officials as responsible for his health and life.

In the past, Saman Yasin wrote a letter stating that after being transferred to the Aminabad Psychiatric Hospital, officials beat him and, despite his resistance, injected him with drugs while he was strapped to a bed with an electric shock device attached. After the injection, Saman remained unconscious for more than 24 hours, and upon regaining consciousness, he suffered from vision problems and loss of balance.

Given his unstable physical and mental condition, Saman Yasin was transferred to Evin Prison yesterday, Wednesday, corresponding to 11 Mordad, on charges of “moharebeh” (waging war against the state) along with other political prisoners.
