Gathering of Fifty Catholic and Anglican Bishops during Christian Unity Week

Fifty Catholic and Anglican bishops are set to gather in Rome, Italy during Christian Unity Week.
According to the Vatican, fifty Catholic and Anglican bishops from 27 countries around the world will gather in Rome, Italy during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The aforementioned gathering is considered a global conference for joint work by bishops worldwide with the aim of creating and strengthening unity among Christians.
The conference is being organized by the International Anglican Roman Catholic Commission for Unity and Mission. Dr. Christopher Wells, one of the members of the Anglican religious ceremonies office, said regarding the holding of these ceremonies: “Practical measures and holding of said ceremonies during Unity Week demonstrate that the unity of Christians worldwide holds special importance for the churches.”
