Charges Explained to “Khosrow Alikurdi” at Mashhad Revolution Prosecutor’s Office

“Khosrow Alikurdi”, a practicing attorney, was informed of charges today in Branch 903 of the Investigation Section of Mashhad’s Revolution Prosecutor’s Office.

Khosrow Alikurdi, a practicing attorney, was summoned on Sunday, June 24, 2023 (4 Tir) upon receipt of a written notice to appear for charge explanation and case file formation at Branch 901 of the Investigation Section of the General and Revolution Prosecutor’s Office in Mashhad.

Mr. Alikurdi, upon accepting representation of the family of Abolfazl Adinezadeh and attempting to secure the release of his clients from detention, was subjected to case-filing by the judiciary.

According to Iran’s Human Rights Organization, today, Saturday, June 30, 2023 (10 Tir 1402), Khosrow Alikurdi, a practicing attorney residing in Mashhad, was informed of charges after appearing at Branch 901 of the Investigation Section of Mashhad’s Revolution Prosecutor’s Office while being deprived of the right to choose his own lawyer through the implementation of Article 48 Note of the Criminal Procedure Code.

During this investigation session, although Javad Alikurdi had previously declared his representation through the system to defend Khosrow Alikurdi, the relevant investigator declined to accept his representation, and Alikurdi was deprived of the right to choose his own lawyer through the implementation of Article 48 Note of the Criminal Procedure Code. In the aforementioned session, Khosrow Alikurdi was informed of the charge of “propaganda activities against the system in favor of groups opposed to the Islamic Republic system,” and the trial session for this practicing attorney will be held tomorrow, Sunday, July 1, 2023 (11 Tir 1402).
