Mobile Phones of Armita’s Family Members Seized, Fajr Hospital Becomes Security Zone

Regime security forces seized all mobile phones of Armita’s family members at the hospital and turned the hospital into a security zone.
Today, Wednesday, October 12th, marks the third day of Armita Garavand’s coma, who suffered a head collision with the ground at the Tehran Martyrs Metro Station after being assaulted by a morality police officer for not observing mandatory hijab rules, causing a hemorrhage that left her unconscious from that moment onward.
Images of Armita in the intensive care unit at Fajr Hospital were circulated on social networks, which led to her family being pressured by regime forces. Additionally, security officers present at the hospital confiscated the mobile phones of Armita’s family members who are at the hospital to prevent images of her from being shared on social networks.
The human rights organization “Hengaw” also published Armita’s image upon announcing her coma and, while referring to the continuation of her unconsciousness, wrote: “Hengaw calls on all Iranians, both inside and outside Iran, to be a unified voice for Armita Garavand’s suffering.”

It should be noted that gatherings of Tehran residents since yesterday in front of Fajr Hospital and within the hospital premises have led to the securitization of the hospital grounds and the intensive care unit where Armita is hospitalized. Security forces have placed the hospital premises and people’s movement under surveillance and have also pressured her family.
According to some news agencies, her family has been threatened by the regime to consider the incident as purely accidental and declare that they have no complaints.
