Protest Gathering of Telecommunications Retirees in Various Cities
Retirees of the Telecommunications Company held protest gatherings in various cities across Iran.
Last week, retirees of the Social Security Organization gathered in front of the organization’s building in various cities to protest the lack of attention to their demands.
On Monday, April 8, 2023 (18 Ordibehesht 1402), retirees of the Telecommunications Company in various cities including Gilan, Ilam, Lorestan, Ardabil, Kermanshah, Arak, and Khuzestan held protest gatherings in front of the central headquarters of the telecommunications company in their respective provinces due to lack of attention to their demands, expressing their protest with the slogan “Promises and unity are not enough – our tables are empty.”
The retirees demanded full implementation of the employment regulations 24/89 – 20/895, complete payment of deferred welfare benefits and wages, as well as full implementation of supplementary insurance and medical expenses. Retirees in Gilan Province also demanded payment of their outstanding arrears that have been delayed for 13 years.
