Islamic Republic Army Joins People in Final Week of Esfand

Members of the Islamic Republic Army announced through a message addressed to the people that they will stand alongside them.

In the past, many government forces, including actual army personnel, have joined the people and declared their solidarity with the Iranian people. In many cases, they even stepped down from their positions and duties to support the people.

Now the forces of the Islamic Republic Army have published a message addressed to the people on social media pages and announced that on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of Esfand, on the occasion of the tradition of “Chaharshanbeh Suri” (Persian Fire Festival) which was previously called for, they stand with the people. They stated that all people’s army soldiers who have special missions are required, after completing their missions, to report to the area of people’s gatherings at the nearest distance and, according to previous instructions, provide reciprocal response to mercenaries who intend to harm or arrest the people.

The news of the army’s solidarity with the people has also reached the ears of the government’s security forces. Furthermore, one of the personnel from the police cyber unit (FATA) who became aware of this army decision sent a message to army personnel: “I am one of the FATA police personnel. I tell all people’s army personnel to refrain from carrying mobile phones and national ID cards with embedded chips when going to the streets, because signals can be tracked even through a turned-off phone. If forced to use a phone for filming, I strongly emphasize using a phone without a SIM card, because even if the phone is in airplane mode it can be traced.” Seeing and hearing these messages is gratifying, as if the government’s security forces have also come to believe that the time for the regime’s collapse has come and they must join the people and stand by their side. If this solidarity expands, the victory of the people’s revolution will surely bear fruit soon.
