Political Prisoner Zahra Siyadi Deprived of Proper Medical Care

Zahra Siyadi, a political prisoner detained in Evin Prison, is being deprived of proper medical care.

Ms. Siyadi is a civil rights activist and child rights advocate who has conducted extensive activities in support of child laborers and undocumented children in Sistan and Baluchestan. She has even obtained identification documents for dozens of children and adolescents using her personal budget and efforts. She is currently serving her one-year sentence in Evin Prison. Zahra Siyadi suffers from colorectal cancer and has been deprived of medical treatment. Prison health authorities have only administered a single injection for her. It is worth noting that the discontinuation of her treatment has led to the progression of cancer in her body.

According to Hrana, her condition is so dire that even prison officials have not issued a certificate confirming her inability to withstand imprisonment.
