Plundering Iran’s Vast Wealth Through Privatization of Parsian and Fajr Jam Gas Refining Companies

The plundering of Iran by the Islamic Republic regime continues with the transfer and privatization of Parsian and Fajr Jam gas refining companies.

In the past, companies such as Northern Drilling, Kermanshah Refinery, Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Cultivation and Industry, HAPCO, and several other companies had been transferred by the Islamic Republic government. Now the privatization plan for two major gas refineries has been set in motion by the Islamic Republic government.

A letter has been circulated on social media pages revealing the transfer of two major gas refineries, Parsian and Fajr Jam.

As stated in the aforementioned letter, all planning and permits have been obtained over the past month and the necessary steps for the transfer of these companies have been taken. Employees working in these companies have become concerned about losing their jobs and income following the publication of this letter regarding the refinery transfer.

It should be noted that the “Fajr Jam” refinery is one of the Middle East’s largest refineries, which was built with the capital of the people of Jam County and currently supplies a significant portion of domestic consumption while generating very high revenues.

Ali Khamenei, who signed the plan for privatizing Iran’s surplus assets and hired a 7-member team immune from legal prosecution to sell these assets, is now engaged in plundering another vast wealth from Iran using his authority.

This plundering occurs while the backbone of various segments of society has been broken under economic pressure, and many people in different cities such as Baluchestan lack even the most basic living facilities. Similarly, earthquake-stricken residents of Koy awaiting provisions to survive the harsh winter cold, yet Ali Khamenei and his agents are focused on plundering Iran’s vast riches.

Hassan Ramazani, representative of Bushehr Council, also reacted to this hasty measure and said: “Aside from the dangerous nature of such action, these refineries were built with public capital from the people, and their transfer is a strategic mistake. He further stated that Fajr refinery provides approximately one-quarter of the country’s gas, and this transfer occurs at a time when the country faces severe gas shortages. Now a group with rash decisions is taking actions that will push one of the country’s largest gas refineries into tension and turmoil.”

This decision to transfer was made while even the people’s representatives and local and provincial officials had no knowledge of it, becoming aware only after the letter was published on social media.

The Islamic Republic government not only disregards the assets and capital accumulated by the people, but also takes their lives through suppression, execution, and demolishing their homes.
