Saleh Mirhashemi: I Wish I Had Fired a Shot

Saleh Mirhashemi said in a phone call with his mother: I wish I had fired a shot.

Saleh Mirhashemi, a karate instructor who was detained during protests in the case known as “Isfahan House” along with several others, was accused of killing three government officials. He was introduced as the primary defendant and was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and execution by the Isfahan Revolutionary Court.

He spent 45 days in solitary confinement and was tortured to obtain forced confessions. It should be noted that despite all the torture and pressure, Saleh Mirhashemi did not accept the charge of shooting at the officials.

Now an audio file of Saleh Mirhashemi’s phone call with his mother has been released on social media, in which he emphasizes his innocence.

Saleh Mirhashemi says in this conversation: “I did not have a weapon, I wish I had fired a shot. My heart ached for the cars with women and children inside them, and I was letting them pass.”

The full audio file of Saleh Mirhashemi can be heard below.

Unfortunately, the Islamic Republic continues to search for necks for its nooses, in order to hide its fear and weakness before the people by arresting innocent people and torturing and killing them.
