Sale of Iranians’ Body Organs in Iraq for Dollar Prices

Iranians, due to poverty, are selling their body organs in Iraq for dollar prices.

According to a report by “Jahan Sanat,” the number of body organ sellers has increased due to poverty, but this time young people are selling their body organs in Iraq for dollar prices in order to receive more money.

Poverty is wreaking havoc in Iran to such an extent that many young people aged 18 to 40 years have resorted to selling their body organs. It is regrettable that the sale of body organs is not limited to a specific age group, and people are under such economic pressure that they are forced to sell their body organs.

Another issue is that buyers of body organs, especially to save the lives of their loved ones, face considerable difficulty, and many of them are also unable to afford the substantial cost of body organs and are forced to sell their cars or houses in order to save the lives of their loved ones. This inability to purchase has driven sellers to travel to Iraq to sell their vital organs for dollar prices.

Despite having vast natural resources and enormous wealth, Iran’s people have to resort to selling their body organs to make ends meet. But to what extent can they cover their living expenses by selling body organs, and for how long should this trade continue?

Out of extreme poverty, people are willing to go blind and sell their corneas, or part with their liver, which is vital to survival. They even endure the severe pain of bone marrow operations in hopes that they might be able to survive for some time with that money. How long will poverty, injustice, oppression, and crime continue in Iran?
