Iranian Model Farnoosh Hamidian Speaks Out About Amin-Abad Prison

Iranian model Farnoosh Hamidian shared comments about Amin-Abad Prison on her personal Instagram page.

Farnoosh Hamidian, born in 1367, is from Mazandaran and works as a model. She is currently pursuing a modeling career in Germany. Following the protests and arrest of demonstrators, Farnoosh posted comments on her Instagram page about the transfer of protesters to Amin-Abad Prison. Her statements on Instagram are as follows:

“A major catastrophe is unfolding at Amin-Abad at the hands of the Islamic Republic. Many of those detained during nationwide protests are being transferred, from the moment of arrest for trivial or no reasons, to psychiatric hospitals such as ‘Sadr Psychiatric Hospital’ in Qeitarieh, and are then transferred in black vans with tourist inscriptions written on them to the Amin-Abad psychiatric hospital.

Amin-Abad Hospital is very extensive, with only a few of Iran’s psychiatrists at the top level of management there, and all official staff are aware and are there in a controlled manner. Dr. ‘Reza Daneshmandrakhti,’ who was appointed as its head in November 2019 after the nationwide internet blackout, is the primary perpetrator of these crimes. It is reported that after injecting ‘Haloperidol’ into political prisoners, they are sexually assaulted and subjected to various forms of drug-induced, physical, and sexual torture, and they are filmed while being forced to commit heinous acts. Behnam Mahjoubi had alluded to some of these incidents, and Kiarash Sanjari is also among the politicians who suffered at Amin-Abad.

In a false spectacle in Ordibehesht 1400, Dr. Reza Daneshmandrakhti was removed, and the government attributed all torture and inhumane errors to Dr. ‘Nabilollah Darijeani,’ and now in government news, he has been dismissed and they pretend the problem has been resolved.

The danger lies in the fact that at the beginning of the 2022 protests, without any announcement, Dr. Reza Daneshmandrakhti was reappointed as head of Amin-Abad Psychiatric Hospital, and all Amin-Abad personnel are concealing this matter; however, the news has spread on social media. Today, news of a political prisoner’s transfer to Amin-Abad was published by Voice of America. The real catastrophe is at Amin-Abad; let us give voice to the unnamed detainees and introduce this monster named Reza Daneshmandrakhti to the world’s public opinion.”
