Christians Who Claim to Defend the Oppressed Should Not Designate IRGC as Terrorist

The Friday Imam of Arak announced that if Christians claim to be defenders of the oppressed, they should not consider the IRGC a terrorist organization.

Ayatollah Ghorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi, Supreme Leader’s representative in Arak, announced: “Placing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the terrorist list is contrary to justice and humanity. Those who claim to be Christian should defend the oppressed rather than support global oppression and arrogance.”

During his tenure as Minister of Intelligence and Prosecutor General of the Islamic Republic, Dorri-Najafabadi was placed on the European Union sanctions list on charges of participating in the suppression of protesters in 2009, as well as for widespread violations of the rights of Iranian citizens in 2011. He has now reacted to the European Parliament’s designation of the IRGC as terrorist and raised issues in his speech.

Dorri-Najafabadi condemned the European Parliament’s action to place the IRGC on the terrorist organization list and announced: “The IRGC played a role in countering ISIS conspiracies and terrorist currents and caused the evil of ISIS to decrease in the region and other countries. Therefore, Europeans should bow their heads in respect before the IRGC of the Islamic Revolution.”

According to him, the IRGC is a source of honor, dignity, and pride for the Islamic Republic of Iran. The formation of the IRGC, army, FARAJA, Basij, and others are among the greatest achievements of the revolution; because over the past 300 years, parts of Iran were separated by enemy attacks, but since the formation of the Islamic Revolution, not a single particle of Iranian soil has fallen into the hands of enemies.

Dorri-Najafabadi announced that not a single particle of Iranian soil has fallen into the hands of enemies! Overlooking the fact that all the wealth and natural resources of Iran, which are the most important parts of Iranian soil, have been plundered during these 43 years and placed in the hands of other countries. From the elite and brain drain to the export of oil, gas, fresh water, and many other best resources of Iran that are being sold.

Pallets of gold bullion along with a large number of pallets of dollars that were immediately taken out of Iran during the protests, elite young people who are imprisoned in prisons, young people who are tortured and killed unjustly, Iran’s wealth and parts of Iranian soil that are being destroyed by the criminal Islamic Republic. If these are not Iranian soil, then what are they?

According to Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi, terrorists are those who disrespect and desecrate the sacred and the Prophet. Also, Western terrorists are those who nurture ISIS and are pro-terrorist, and with their men and women, engage in the most savage behavior.

It seems that Mr. Najafabadi has not been present in Iran during these four months since the protests have been occurring, as he speaks of the savage behavior of Westerners toward their men and women. If beating and attacking children to elderly people, shooting them, torturing and hanging them is not a terrorist act, what name can be given to it?

Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi made a good point that Christians should be defenders of the rights of the oppressed, and the European Parliament, which according to Dorri-Najafabadi are Christian Westerners, by placing the IRGC of the Islamic Revolution on the terrorist organization list, wants to support the oppressed (children to elderly people) in Iran who are killed unjustly or have their heads put on the gallows simply for seeking their rights.
